Does the “Let’s take a break” means it is over?
Being his lover is such a great feeling. Last morning when he woke up he kissed you and prepared the breakfast, he kissed you when he went to work, he called you and said he loves you and finally, he invited you to take a romantic dinner.
However, suddenly he says your relationship needs a break. The sky falls upon you, you think it is unbelievable and you feel like bursting in tears. But this does not mean your relationship has come to an end. So what could be the reasons for this break ? Will he change his mind and come back to you ? The answers to these questions might be find among the ones below.
- He might be feeling suffocated. Maybe he just wants a period without everyday’s relationship routines. Going out with his friends, having a couple of beers, watching what sports program he likes. Usually men stuff. As much as you would try to keep him closer to you, this could make him desire more and more some intimacy, so allowing him to fulfill his wishes might simply do the trick.
- Maybe he met someone else. Yes, this might happen from time to time. If he wants someone else and does not know what to do next, asking for a break is a natural move. He leaves an open gate for his return in case thing don’t work with his new one. If things do not work, he will come back to you, if the new romance works the break will take a definitive turn.
- When your attitude has changed lately, this break could be a sign he just wants to change something about it. Whether you are not as warm as before, maybe you have changed the way you were making love with him, something could have changed. Try to see where you could work to change your attitude and maybe things will turn back as they were before.
Whatever the reasons would be, there are some things that must be arranged before the break comes into play. Some rules like how long the break will last, if speaking on the phone is allowed or not and others. When the break is over, meet somewhere and see what to do next. It is possible that after some weeks of freedom he will realize how hard it is without you and things to come back as they were before.
However, during this break it is best not to follow him, not to make him jealous dating with someone else, no mass messages and phones. Get out with your friends, enjoy some precious time in their company and just wait to see how things evolve. Remember this : a break does not necessarily means all is over and, as the old saying states : patience is a virtue.
